Job summary

ETHEREUM TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a developer specialized in migrating Java/J2EE applications to the cloud. You will take ownership of modernizing Java/J2EE applications and migrating them to AWS by re-architecting them to leverage cloud-native features and improve scalability, performance, and agility, while minimizing disruption to existing functionality.

Lead cloud architecture & migration efforts, design migration plans, and guide a team of developers to build reference architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years migrating applications to AWS.
• Experience moving from on-prem to AWS using migration tools.
• Strong Java and J2EE knowledge (Spring, Hibernate, JSF).
• Solid understanding of AWS architecture and services.
• Familiarity with IaC (CloudFormation or Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture & migration planning.
• Architectural design & development to support migration runway.
• Modernize Java code to leverage AWS services.
• Select AWS services for compute, storage, databases, APIs.
• Containerize apps with Docker; deploy on ECS/EKS.
• Define DR strategy and governance with ARB.
• Set team cadence and report milestones.
