Job summary

Amazon, AWS Infrastructure Services, is seeking a Network Technician to join the Network Deployment team. You will work with minimal supervision to drive the expansion of next‑generation networks in data centers, coordinating with internal customers and external vendors, and ensuring scalable, reliable deployments.

The ideal candidate has strong networking deployment and cabling experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant certification, combined with hands‑on experience in networking deployment and cabling infrastructure best practices
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls
• Familiarity with network cabling standards, optic types, and testing tools such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken
• Comfortable working on small to medium, and slightly complex projects in ambiguous environments; strong prioritization, time management, and analytical judgment under pressure
• Solid understanding of Ethernet, IP networking, and fabric‑based network design; experience in large‑scale data center network implementations and virtualized enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting and support background
• Awareness or knowledge of IT best practice frameworks such as ITIL, LEAN, AGILE, and Operational Excellence principles
• Comfortable working directly with customers during problem resolution; able to travel within the region, with occasional travel beyond traditional work areas

Responsibilities

• Scaling support of several data center locations
• Responsible for day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management
• Working closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate fast, smooth rollout of established designs and products
• Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
