Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Enterprise Architect with hands-on AWS infrastructure experience to lead a migration of on-premises workloads to AWS, moving beyond lift-and-shift and modernizing environments across security-conscious financial services settings.

As a key member of our Cloud Center of Excellence, you will guide SRE and DevOps teams, implement CI/CD, IaC, and secure design patterns, and help architect an enterprise-class cloud environment while raising the engineering bar.

Qualifications

• Experience moving on-premises environments to AWS with legacy workloads.
• Ability to re-platform and upgrade OS in the cloud.
• Strong knowledge of VPC structure and AWS networking.
• Security-first approach in cloud designs, especially in regulated industries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring and observability in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash and PowerShell scripting.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate an enterprise-class cloud environment on AWS.
• Lead and automate cloud services with deep technical expertise.
• Architect and optimize workloads for resilience, security, and cost.
• Plan migration of on-prem workloads to AWS with appropriate strategy.
• Re-platform and modernize during migration, including re-architecting apps when needed.
• Serve as a key resource for the Cloud Center of Excellence and raise engineering standards.
• Support SRE and DevOps with architecture guidance, CI/CD, monitoring and observability.
• Integrate security into every design from VPC layout to deployment pipelines.
