Job summary

The AES Group in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Lead to support cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, and Python, along with a proven track record of supporting enterprise‑scale production environments.

Candidates must have prior experience working on projects for large enterprise technology organizations and be comfortable working onsite

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience.
• Hands-on AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Strong DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.
• Kubernetes and container orchestration expertise.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with enterprise-scale production environments.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX from Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS.
• Develop and manage DevOps automation, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure management processes.
• Support Kubernetes-based container orchestration and application deployment.
• Perform Linux system administration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and production support.
• Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to improve system availability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop Python scripts to automate operational tasks and improve engineering efficiency.
• Monitor system health, investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Follow best practices for cloud security, scalability, monitoring, and incident management.
