What You’ll Be Doing

BeatStars is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technical team. We are looking for an innovative professional who can design, implement, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable system operations. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, implementing cutting-edge security measures, and optimizing our system's performance across multiple environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain comprehensive cloud infrastructure using AWS services
  • Develop and maintain scalable microservices architectures
  • Configure and manage advanced Web Application Firewalls (WAFs)
  • Implement robust system monitoring and observability solutions
  • Create and maintain sophisticated bot prevention and security strategies
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources
  • Optimize system performance and cost-efficiency
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Collaborate with development team to keep software and infrastructure up to date and secure

What You’ll Need

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience
  • Proven track record of designing and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructures
  • Strong understanding of network security principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with machine learning-based bot detection
  • Experience with other non-AWS cloud infrastructure providers
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC2)
  • Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects

  • Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration

Monitoring and Observability

  • Comprehensive system monitoring solutions
  • Log management and analysis
  • Performance optimization
  • APM tools like DataDog, New Relic, Logz.io, etc.

Automation and CI/CD

  • Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go

Compensation:

This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles only) range for this position and is subject to change. To determine starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. The range shared on JDs is broad range to cover multiple regions. Candidates will be given a specific range based on their city/country during the initial phone screen.

Salary/OTE is just one component of our total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for additional benefits and perks BeatStars has to offer.

Preferred locations to hire are in the United States in the Eastern time zone. This is a US-based role only. No other locations will be considered at this time. The remote salary range for this role is as follows:

  • Tier 1 markets (SEA, SF, NY): $165,000-$195,000
  • Other markets: $150,000-$176,000
