Job summary

V-Soft Consulting Group in Austin, TX is seeking an AWS Data Migration Architect to lead migration of Oracle workloads to AWS using AWS DMS, including full-load, CDC, and real-time streaming architectures. You will design scalable data migration pipelines and collaborate with security, networking, and analytics teams.

Candidates should have extensive experience with AWS services, ETL/ELT processes, Python/Bash/PowerShell automation, and monitoring in CloudWatch/CloudTrail.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing cloud data migrations, including Oracle to AWS.
• Hands-on with batch and real-time data ingestion (CDC, streaming).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Oracle workloads to AWS using AWS DMS, supporting full-load, CDC, and real-time streaming data migration architectures.

AWS Data Migration Architect

Primary Location: Austin, Texas

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a AWS Data Migration Architect for our premier client Austin, Texas.

Education And Experience

• 8 Required Experience in IT, supporting the design, development, deployment, or delivery of technology solutions.
• 8 Required Experience using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) to migrate data from Oracle to AWS.
• 8 Required Experience with batch and real-time data ingestion, including full loads, Change Data Capture (CDC), and streaming architectures.
• 8 Required Experience with AWS cloud services, specifically designing and implementing infrastructure and networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, routing).

Knowledge And Skills

• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, migration planning, cutover and rollback strategies, automation using Python/Bash/PowerShell, and monitoring through CloudWatch and CloudTrail is required. Strong communication skills and experience modernizing legacy on-premises systems in hybrid cloud environments are highly desirable.
