Job summary

VillageCare is seeking a Data Engineer - AWS to strengthen its cloud data foundation in a hybrid role based in NY/NJ/CT. The engineer will design and operate ELT/ETL pipelines in an AWS Data Lake and build Python-based ETL jobs to support care and operations analytics.

The role requires 2+ years AWS, 5+ years SQL, 2+ years Python, and healthcare data experience, with Redshift/Postgres/MySQL expertise. Flexible schedule with collaboration across IT Security and Network Ops and vendors.

Qualifications

• AWS, SQL, Python and data engineering experience in a healthcare context.
• Experience with cloud data lake design and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Redshift / Postgres / MySQL and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support ELT/ETL pipelines and datasets within an AWS Data Lake
• Monitor and tune AWS data lake services; troubleshoot analysis tooling in the cloud environment
• Build Python-based ETL jobs; develop light internal web tools as needed
• Model current and future schemas for structured/unstructured data; align to industry standards
• Provide technical oversight across vendors; partner with IT Security/Network Ops on AWS best practices
• Contribute to integration project scoping and new pipeline/component design
