AWS Consultant – US Freelancing
InOpTra Digital is looking for a highly experienced AWS Consultant with 20 years of IT experience to join our team. The role requires deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, data solutions, DevOps practices, and application modernization, along with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex cloud solutions while supporting pre‑sales activities and statement of work development.

Core Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructures.
- Lead cloud migration initiatives from on‑premises to AWS and optimize infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Design multi‑account AWS architectures using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Build data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions on AWS (Redshift, Athena, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Lake Formation).
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment, and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Lead application modernization initiatives and architect cloud‑native applications using Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on AWS implementations and support client stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
- Deliver technical documentation, best‑practice recommendations, and training initiatives.

Additional Technical Skills
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
- Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Preferred)
- Additional AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer – Professional, Database – Specialty, Data Analytics – Specialty, Security – Specialty) – Preferred
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Experience supporting pre‑sales activities including solution design, RFP responses, and technical presentations.
- Ability to conduct discovery sessions with prospective clients.
- Experience creating solution architectures and technical proposals.
- Capability to deliver technical demonstrations and proof of concepts.
- Experience estimating effort, resources, and timelines for proposed solutions.
