Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is a federal government contractor seeking an AWS Cloud Systems Administrator. You will sustain and enhance the AWS GovCloud environment and support CI/CD across multiple software teams building web technologies.

The role requires 4+ years in cloud/DevSecOps, GovCloud experience, DoD policy knowledge, and an active or transferable DoD clearance with DoD 8570 IAT II certification. Strong communication with technical staff is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a Cloud/DevSecOps Systems Administrator.
• 2+ years with GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS.
• 2+ years in an AWS GovCloud environment supporting DoW.
• 1+ years knowledge of DISA and DoW policies.
• Secret clearance required or ability to obtain DoD Secret / Top-Secret.
• REQUIRED DoD 8570 IAT II Certification (Security+ or equivalent).
• Strong written and oral communication with technical and management staff.

Responsibilities

As an AWS Cloud Systems Administrator with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Responsible for sustainment and enhancements of the customers AWS GovCloud operating environment.
• Responsible for supporting the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) activities of multiple software teams who design, develop, and deploy web technologies.
• Work within an environment of rapid growth and must anticipate and respond effectively to mission needs as they emerge.
• The position duties include monitoring and sustaining the DevSecOps pipeline (i.e. GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, SonarQube, K8, Xray).
• Work with development and customer support teams, providing technical and operational support.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00/Yr. - USD $135,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
