Job summary

System One is seeking an AWS Cloud Security Architect to lead security architecture for enterprise workloads across multiple cloud and on-prem environments. You will define guardrails, conduct threat modeling, and guide secure migrations to AWS and other approved platforms.

You will partner with engineering teams to implement AI/GenAI security, data protection, and compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, and FIPS requirements, in a complex, onsite, client-facing setting including Birmingham, AL.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience with cybersecurity and cloud security.
• 5+ years cloud security architecture experience.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS cloud security experience.
• Certified in CISSP/CCSP/CISA/CISM preferred; cloud certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security architecture guidance for AWS, cloud, APIs, containers, and AI-enabled apps.
• Partner with teams to securely migrate workloads to AWS and other clouds.
• Define security controls, patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
• Support secure AI/GenAI adoption, including LLM integrations and data protection.
• Assess solutions against NIST, FedRAMP, and FIPS standards.
