Engineer, Information Security & Risk to design scalable security solutions across AWS and cloud-native applications, guiding architecture and secure SDLC practices. You will mentor teams, enforce API security standards, and drive encryption, IAM, and monitoring initiatives to protect patient data and comply with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years focused on information security engineering (AWS).
• Strong hands-on experience securing AWS cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Deep understanding of application security, API security, identity and access management, and modern authentication frameworks.
• Experience securing cloud-native architectures and distributed applications.
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, security monitoring, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to clearly communicate security risks, recommendations, and architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, infrastructure, and compliance teams.

Role Overview

The Sr. Engineer, Information Security & Risk is a senior-level, hands-on security engineering role with architect-level responsibility focused on securing cloud platforms, modern applications, APIs, and sensitive healthcare data.

This individual will design and implement scalable security solutions that protect enterprise systems while enabling engineering teams to innovate quickly and securely. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong collaboration and advisory skills across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.

What You’ll Bring

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, GIAC, or similar
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or other regulated environments
• Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Familiarity with enterprise governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
