The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos has an opening for an experienced AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner to work in our Orlando, FL office. This role supports the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network and supporting infrastructure. As part of this mission, we help DAF to field and operate the customer's Digital Infrastructure. The Certified Cloud Practitioner will be involved in day‑to‑day activities and the strategic long‑term maturation of complex systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- The DINM Team is responsible for maintaining the DI‑N and DI‑NIL architecture and services, with support needed throughout various levels.
- Oversee operations in the cloud, including overall management of cloud systems, monitoring the environment, system deployments, networking, VPC creation and management, security group maintenance, volume creation and maintenance, and backup and recovery actions.
- Work with customers to ensure the environment is configured properly, with least privilege access enabled for stakeholder activities.
- Document builds and configurations, and create process flow documentation to ensure tasks are repeatable.
- Back up other personnel in support of the DI‑NIL effort focused on Verification and Validation for the Digital Infrastructure Network.
- Analyze AWS systems and services to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) at a high level, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and understanding the shared responsibility model.
- Assist with technical, project‑based work, manage support tickets, and ensure cloud environments are secure and available.
- Monitor system performance, forecast, and assist with cloud migration strategies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree and 6+ years, or demonstrable subject‑matter expert experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must be AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CAP).
- Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Demonstrable knowledge of AWS Cloud concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs.
- Demonstrable experience in design review participation and providing customer‑centric input.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and systems engineers.
- Ability to participate in cross‑functional planning, coordination, and task execution across system integration activities.
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
- Mid‑level network understanding.
- Mid‑level understanding of government systems security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation.
- Ability to brief technical and non‑technical customers.
- High degree of customer satisfaction and maintain positive brand recognition.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile program execution and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- 4 years of DoD-based system security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation.
- Experience designing and deploying networks.
- Experience with SAFe Agile implementation.
- Experience supporting Department of the Air Force programs.
- Experience working on complex multi‑domain systems.
- Experience managing operating systems (Windows or Linux).
- Experience developing, maintaining, and validating Infrastructure as Code (IaC/Terraform).
- Experience designing and validating Cloud and Edge Computing and Network.
- Demonstrable knowledge of test automation and analysis of test results.
- Experience in network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability, and scalability.
- Expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test specifications.
- Experience in integration, test, verification, and validation.
Pay Range
$116,350.00 – $210,325.00.
