Job Description

Your Impact:

You will function as part of a world-class cloud data platform team working directly with clients across North America. This is a hands-on role focusing on data platform implementation across all areas of service engineering for Amazon Web Service (AWS) Elastic Kubernetes Service (including security, IAM, Lifecycle, observability, networking, etc.). As a Platform Architect Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team delivering digital business transformation solutions to our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to increase engineering team productivity by reviewing, developing, and implementing resilient, secure cloud architectures, solutions, and products within some of the world’s largest brands.

Qualifications

Your Skills and Experience:

• Amazon Web Service Certification - Architect Level
• Deep experience with AWS services, EKS, ECR, EMR, RDS, Docker, S3, etc.
• Proficiency in Python and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience implementing all areas of service engineering for EKS, including configurations, automations, pipelines, and integrations within client environments.
• Designing/implementing multi-tenancy/multi-cluster configurations, workload isolation, and operational visibility.
• Hands-on experience with Helm charts.
• Deploying and managing Kubernetes infrastructure with Terraform Enterprise and writing reusable Terraform modules.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, ELK, and deploying applications on AWS.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) is a plus.
• Experience with Docker within container orchestration platforms such as EKS/GKE.
• Knowledge of setting up Splunk.
• Experience with Spark in AWS EKS/Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Experience with EMR.
• Establishing connectivity and elastic scaling.
• Experience with Apache Yunikorn in EKS for scheduling.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio or Linkerd).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; equivalent work experience acceptable.
• Related master's degree is a plus.

Additional Information

The compensation range is $129,000 - $170,000, depending on location and skillset. Working here offers flexible vacation, 16 paid holidays, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and gift matching.
