This is a full-time remote role

The candidate must live on the East Coast.

The Manager, AWS Cloud Operations, manages and optimizes cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role oversees the day-to-day operations, including monitoring, automation, cost management, and incident response, while leading a team of cloud operations engineers and collaborating with various departments. The Manager, AWS Cloud Operations, also plays a key role in ensuring scalability, implementing security best practices, and aligning cloud operations with business objectives.

Key focus areas include resource optimization, disaster recovery, compliance, and driving automation and infrastructure improvements using DevOps practices. This position requires a strong understanding of AWS services, cloud management tools, and cloud security protocols to ensure that the infrastructure meets the company's performance and security standards.

  • Bachelor's in CS/engineering, etc.
  • 8 yrs AWS experience
  • 5+ years managing a cloud operations team (patching, image management, monitoring, cost management, problem management)
  • Experience with monitoring, automation, and cloud management tools (CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Terraform, Jenkins) required.
  • Healthcare/Hospital or Life Sciences background (experience with regulatory environment)
  • AWS Certifications required: i.e., AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
  • Experience working on a migration from on-prem to AWS
