Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join the Cloud Foundational Platforms team in Palo Alto, CA. You will help shape the future of infrastructure by applying deep expertise in hardware, networking, automation, and cloud technologies while leveraging AI-assisted approaches to design and documentation.

You will lead cross-functional workstreams, ensure remediation and security alignments, and provide 24/7 on-call coverage across distributed time zones.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on Infrastructure engineering concepts.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas (hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, automation, scaling, resilience).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) and AWS certification(s).
• Continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge beyond product scope.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical expertise to projects of moderate scope.
• Drives a workstream or project with infra technologies.
• Architects changes across platforms to modernize technology processes.
• Designs, develops and troubleshoots problems of moderate complexity.
• Advises on upstream/downstream data and system implications.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and documentation.
• Manages stakeholder relationships and adheres to compliance and SLAs.
• Partners with engineering/product teams to drive remediation and product improvement.
• Demonstrates learning and teaching as features are released.
• Provides 24/7 on-call support across time zones.
