Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS) for a full-time role to support engineering, security, and operational processes for a large federal agency.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of IT experience, hands-on AWS design experience, and strong cloud fundamentals across SaaS/PaaS/IaaS. You will design scalable solutions, develop documentation, and help transition them to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of IT experience supporting federal agencies.
• 4+ years designing/implementing highly distributed applications.
• Hands-on AWS experience with architectural design.
• Familiarity with lift-and-shift migrations and cloud migration methodologies.
• Experience in cloud computing, networking, storage, and identity management; AWS Certification or Cloud Architect Certification (or desire to obtain certification).

Responsibilities

• Design solutions with security controls and scalability.
• Support documentation for engineering, security, and operations.
• Perform business and technical analyses to aid decisions.
• Facilitate transition of solutions to operations.
