Contact Government Services, LLC in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support documentation, security controls, and operations for a large federal agency. The role emphasizes designing scalable, secure cloud solutions and guiding migration and transition to production.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of IT experience in federal environments and hands-on AWS design/implementation expertise, with relevant certifications or a plan to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of IT experience supporting federal government agencies.
• 4+ years in design, implementation or support of distributed applications with strong architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and architectural design for cloud-based solutions.
• Experience delivering large-scale cloud solutions with production readiness.
• Familiarity with lift-and-shift migrations and cloud migration methodologies.
• Experience in cloud computing, networking, storage, and identity management; AWS or Cloud Architect certification (or desire to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Design scalable cloud solutions with strong security controls.
• Develop documentation to support engineering, security, and operations.
• Aid customer decision-making with business and technical analysis.
• Facilitate transition of solutions to operations within predefined boundaries.
