Job summary

Apex Systems, LLC is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and the creation of operating procedures and runbooks. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud experience, with strong IAM, Cognito, and identity federation skills.

Candidates should have IaC experience (CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation) and Databricks on AWS expertise, including workspace config, IAM, S3 access, data lake connectivity, CI/CD, and automation.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS IAM, Cognito, authentication, authorization, and identity federation.
• Experience with IaC tools (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Databricks on AWS: workspace config, IAM, S3 access, CI/CD, and data lake connectivity.
• Experience in energy trading or utility analytics environments is preferred.

## Job Description# AWS Cloud Engineer· Support troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, operating procedures, and support runbooks.· Five or more years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.· Strong experience with AWS IAM, Amazon Cognito, authentication, authorization, and identity federation.· Experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.· Experience supporting enterprise cloud environments and production operations.· Knowledge of cloud networking, secrets management, encryption, monitoring, and logging.· Strong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.· Hands-on Databricks experience on AWS, including workspace configuration, IAM and identity integration, S3 or data lake connectivity, cluster or compute policies, secrets management, networking, monitoring, and CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code automation.· Required: Hands-on experience deploying or integrating Databricks on AWS, including workspace architecture, VPC connectivity, IAM roles, S3 or data lake access, secrets management, monitoring, cluster or compute policies, and CI/CD or infrastructure-as-code automation.· Experience supporting energy trading, power market analytics, utility operations, renewable energy, or forecasting platforms.· Familiarity with North American ISO/RTO markets such as ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO, or ISO-NE.· Experience in regulated, cybersecurity-sensitive, or compliance-driven utility environments is preferred.· Production readiness evidence, knowledge transfer, and support runbooks.
