Job summary

INVID is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable AWS-based solutions in a hybrid work model in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The role requires hands-on AWS expertise, leadership, and a strong background in Python/JavaScript, CI/CD, and IaC. You will mentor teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing cloud architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development (cloud-focused).
• 5+ years architecting AWS cloud applications.
• Strong expertise in AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, IAM).
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS-native architectures (serverless and distributed systems).
• Lead backend development using Python and AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and RDS.
• Apply and enforce AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or GitHub Actions.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
• Define monitoring and observability strategies using CloudWatch and X-Ray.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Collaborate with Solution Architect and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
