Job summary

Goldschmitt and Associates LLC (G&A) is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect for a remote role with preference for candidates near the DMV area. The position offers a salary range of $160,000.00–$180,000.00 and challenges you to design scalable cloud environments for enterprise/SaaS applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of IT/cloud engineering/DevOps experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud environments for enterprise/SaaS apps.
• Manage production, staging, development, and testing environments within AWS.
• Implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes.
• Ensure security, IAM, monitoring, and alerting per FedRAMP/compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and improvements.

Summary

Goldschmitt is seeking an AWS Cloud ArchitectThis position is remote with preference given to candidates who live within a commutable distance to the DMV area.The anticipated salary for this position is $160,000.00- $180,000.00.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain AWS cloud environments supporting enterprise/SaaS applicationsParticipate in application and cloud architecture design and implementationManage production, staging, development, testing, and other application environments within AWSDesign cloud architectures that support scalability, availability, security, performance, and reliabilityImplement and maintain AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processesImplement and manage application user authentication and authorization methodsDesign and maintain databases, data models, queries, and supporting scriptsIdentify and implement application and infrastructure modifications necessary to meet FedRAMP and other applicable security and compliance requirementsImplement and maintain AWS account, application-level, compliance, and tenant monitoringImplement and manage AWS identity, access controls, roles, policies, and permissions following least-privilege principlesImplement and maintain cloud infrastructure monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting, and operational dashboardsMonitor cloud environments for availability, performance, security, capacity, and costTroubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, networking, deployment, configuration, and availability issuesImplement backup, recovery, resiliency, and disaster recovery capabilitiesDesign and implement automated tenant management and provisioning capabilitiesSupport both AWS Commercial and AWS GovCloud environmentsCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to identify requirements, resolve technical issues, and recommend improvements

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

• Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing production AWS environments
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted enterprise and/or SaaS applications
• Experience designing and managing secure, scalable, highly available AWS architectures
• Experience with containerized application environments and cloud deployment architectures
• Experience implementing cloud security, identity and access management, monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment processes
• Experience supporting cloud environments subject to security and compliance requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess at least 7 years of professional IT, cloud engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps experience
• Possess a Bachelor's degree
• Possess the ability to pass and maintain eligibility for a Public Trust investigation, including United States citizenship
