Job summary

Innovative Solutions in Washington is seeking a Data & AI Engineer to build and deploy modern data pipelines and GenAI solutions on AWS, from scalable ETL/ELT workflows to production-grade AI agents. You will collaborate with clients to deliver secure, scalable, and production-ready data and AI systems.

Responsibilities include implementing AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Redshift), developing GenAI apps with Bedrock and Claude, and building RAG pipelines with vector databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with 2+ years in AI/ML, data engineering or cloud-native dev.
• 2+ years hands-on AWS production deployments.
• 1+ year direct Generative AI experience (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, agents).
• Proven track record delivering production AI applications from concept to deployment.
• Strong software engineering practices and distributed-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes on AWS.
• Creating and maintaining data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Configuring RDS/Aurora/Redshift/DynamoDB and data lakes on S3.
• Designing GenAI apps with Bedrock and foundation models.
• Developing RAG pipelines with vector stores and multi-agent systems with LangChain/LlamaIndex.
• Writing and testing SQL queries and stored procedures; knowledge transfer to customers.
• Supporting data governance and security controls; assisting PoCs for engagements.
