Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a skilled API developer to design, build, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using AWS services in Hanover, NJ. The role emphasizes secure auth, scalable backend services in Python/Node.js/Java, and close collaboration with product teams.

Responsibilities include API deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD automation, with exposure to API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and related AWS tools. Flexible, location-based onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using AWS services.
  • Implement authentication and authorization using IAM, Cognito, OAuth, JWT.
  • Enable logging, tracing, and monitoring with CloudWatch and X-Ray.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using AWS services.
  • Build and deploy APIs using Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda and microservices architecture.
  • Develop backend services using Python, Node.js, Java or similar languages
  • Integrate APIs with AWS services such as DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SNS/SQS, Step Functions
  • Implement authentication and authorization using IAM, Cognito, OAuth, JWT.
  • Ensure API security through throttling and monitoring using API Gateway features.
  • Write reusable, testable, efficient code with proper documentation.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild or GitHub Actions.
  • Enable logging, tracing and monitoring using CloudWatch and AWS XRay.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.

  • Design develop and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using AWS services.
  • Build and deploy APIs using Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda and microservices architecture.

Technical Skills

  • IaC: Terraform or CloudFormation.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $85,000 - 95,000

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
