Job description

Responsible for improving alignment and partnership with alliances to drive tighter coordination on sales, product, marketing, and commercial initiatives. This position will be central to driving change and activating a proactive, purposeful, and predictable Go-to-Market strategy across technical, product, sales, and marketing organizations to grow Rackspace revenue through strategic partnerships.

  • Owns relationships with strategic alliances or manages multiple smaller alliance relationships.
  • Establishes and manages governance meetings and activities.
  • Develops understanding of Rackspace’s portfolio and communicates this to alliance partners.
  • Ensures partner adherence to the alliance framework.
  • Creates and executes strategic alliance strategies based on customer needs.
  • Builds credibility through business acumen and understanding of alliance strategies.
  • Collaborates with alliances to identify value-add opportunities.
  • Documents and maintains strategic alliance plans quarterly.
  • Identifies areas for investment based on partner strategies.
  • Builds relationships with partner resources across support, product, sales, and marketing.
  • Suggests improvements to partner commercial arrangements.
  • Coordinates alliance activities across divisions, acting as the single point of contact.
  • Influences funding and development opportunities within alliances.
  • Supports partners in new product initiatives.
  • Manages executive relationships and influences at the C-suite level.
  • Generates partner enablement materials with marketing teams.
  • Assists in event planning and execution.
  • Relays partner priorities to product teams to influence roadmaps.
  • Operates with a moderate degree of ownership and autonomy, making sound judgments.
  • Guides and trains new team members as needed.
  • Resolves complex issues independently, considering multiple options and impacts.
  • Tracks metrics such as revenue influence, enablement activities, partner spend, certifications, awards, and commercial improvements.
  • Maintains deep knowledge of partner economics, solutions, and management practices.
  • Understands partner programs and collaborates to implement offerings.
  • Works collaboratively across technical, marketing, and sales teams to ensure shared understanding and success.
  • Delivers executive-level presentations and manages senior relationships.
  • Resolves conflicts and influences behavior changes within alliances.
