Amazon is seeking a senior financial accounting professional to join the Global Accounting organization in Austin, TX. The role centers on leading the monthly and quarterly close, delivering clear financial reporting, and driving continuous improvements in accounting processes.

You will partner with Finance, Tax, Production, and Technology to align on deliverables, strengthen internal controls, and implement automation to scale operations in a fast-growing, global business environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of internal control framework (COSO) and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the monthly/quarterly close process, including journal entries, variances analysis, and financial reporting to management.
• Manage period-end close with accurate accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Perform analytical reviews of balances and support cash flow reporting.
• Own critical financial reporting deliverables, including disclosures (10-K/10-Q) and SOX 404 controls.
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and present conclusions to senior leadership.
