YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking an Analyst to join the Marcus US Deposits Process and Controls team in Richardson (Texas) or Draper (Utah). This role involves executing monitoring and testing of processes, identifying potential risks and control weaknesses, and contributing to the firm's success by ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting client assets, and managing risks.

The Monitoring & Testing function evaluates the efficacy of processes, systems, and controls, ensuring performance and compliance through robust testing. It collaborates with other control functions to proactively assess risks, improve controls, and share best practices.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Design and execute controls testing for key controls and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze testing outcomes to identify themes and improvement opportunities
  • Engage stakeholders to review and validate results
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of risk and controls across Marcus US Deposits
  • Advise and challenge business units on risk mitigation, ensuring actions are effective
  • Share best practices across teams and functions to enhance controls
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of consumer banking processes in risk management context
  • Experience in compliance, operational risk, or internal audit is a plus
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative controls and data testing
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data, develop metrics, and identify trends
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and influence skills
  • Ability to mentor junior team members
  • Professional certifications like CFA or FRM are preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years banking experience in risk, compliance, or governance
  • Knowledge of risk assessment frameworks and data analysis
