Job description

NFI Massachusetts Inc., a leading non-profit human services agency, is looking for a dedicated Overnight Youth Counselor for our Beverly Continuum Support program in Beverly, MA.

Beverly Continuum Supports (BCS) provides individualized and comprehensive residential services to male and female youth aged 12-18 and their families. Youth referred to the program are in need of temporary out-of-home placement to address a range of emotional and behavioral issues. The program offers 24-hour staffing that provides support and supervision.

Youth Counselors provide support and supervision which includes life skills support, social and interpersonal skill development and community engagement. The goal is to provide youth with mentoring, guidance and to demonstrate positive role modeling so they may elect healthier choices to and learn new skills to use upon their discharge from the residential program.

Hourly rate: $22.00/hour

Residential Counselors are responsible for:

  1. Supervising and maintaining the safety of the youth.
  2. Remaining awake throughout the entire shift.
  3. Conducting routine bed checks.
  4. Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  5. Crisis intervention if needed.

Job Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Experience with adolescent population.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid US driver's license.

Schedule: Full-time (32-40 hours per week)
