Job summary

West Bay RI is seeking a 3rd Overnight Shift Direct Support Professional to provide overnight supervision and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. Awake overnight duties emphasize staying alert, direct care, health and safety, and meticulous documentation.

Resting overnight duties involve assisting with morning routines, light housekeeping, and completing required paperwork. Minimum 18+, HS diploma/GED, and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and meet conduct expectations.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the overnight shift.
• Provide direct support and personal care per individualized plan.
• Monitor health, safety, and overnight needs; respond to emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as authorized and trained.
• Document overnight activities and observations accurately.
• Maintain professional interactions with individuals, families, and staff.
• Awake shift: assist with morning routine and complete overnight tasks.
• Resting shift: assist with morning routine and complete paperwork.
