Job summary

Advocates seeks an Awake Overnight Direct Service Worker to support residents in a nonprofit, person-centered setting in Newton Corner, MA. The role covers night hours (10pm–8am) on a Sunday–Wednesday schedule, with a starting rate of $18.25 per hour.

Responsibilities include maintaining client safety, assisting morning activities, documenting progress, and coordinating care plans with on‑call staff. A HS diploma or GED is required, plus relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Able to use basic computer applications and document notes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client well‑being and safety in a home-like setting.
• Remain awake and responsive throughout the shift.
• Assist with morning activities, cleaning, and meal prep.
• Document progress and communicate changes to staff.
• Develop and review action plans and service plans with clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and refer to on‑call staff as needed.
