Boeing in Oklahoma City is seeking a Mid-Career Software Systems Engineer for the AWACS Post Delivery Program to support development and maintenance of software applications and cyber security compliance. The role requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities include translating customer requirements into a functional software system and delivering software contract deliverables to customers. First shift with potential additional shifts, not a union role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting web-based applications written in C#.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server for setting up and maintaining web and SQL database servers.
• Experience setting up and maintaining websites in Microsoft IIS.
• Solid understanding of networking principles useful for troubleshooting server, database, or website connectivity and performance issues.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into a functional software system.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Position Overview

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Mid-Career Level Software Systems Engineer to join the AWACS Post Delivery Program to assist with development and maintenance of software applications used in support of AWACS sustainment activities. This position will physically reside in Oklahoma City, OK.

Position Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of multiple software applications
• Maintaining software cyber security compliance
• Working with internal Boeing stakeholders and external customers to define software requirements and translate those requirements into a functional software system
• Delivering software contract deliverables to customers

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience with ASP.NET Core, Blazor, Entity Framework, HTML 5 and JavaScript
• Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience desired but not required
• Crystal Reports experience desired but not required
• Experience with LLM assisted coding
• Experience with CI/CD using source control systems such as Git, Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server

Typical Education/Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
