Job Overview

This position involves wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance tasks, including process control, system monitoring, chemical management, water testing, and equipment maintenance and repair.

Minimum Qualifications

For Technician Associate:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience in process control, plant operations, construction, or mechanical/industrial equipment maintenance.
• Optional: 30 semester hours of relevant education may substitute for one year of experience.

For Technician Assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus three years of relevant experience in similar environments.

Licenses and Certifications

Must obtain appropriate TCEQ licenses within specified timeframes, including Class D or C Water/Wastewater Operator licenses, with possible requirements for a Texas Commercial Driver’s License and certifications in Respiratory Protection and Confined Space Entry.

Additional Information

Positions are based at Remote Facilities, with responsibilities including operations (monitoring, chemical management, testing) and maintenance (mechanical repairs, equipment rebuilds). The role offers benefits, career progression, and a retention bonus potential of up to $3,000.

Work Schedule & Location

Primarily Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, with potential for shift rotation, weekends, holidays, and emergency work. Locations include 7113 FM 969, Austin, TX.

Physical & Safety Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights up to 200 feet, in confined spaces up to 100 feet deep, and in hazardous environments. Must pass a physical exam, meet respiratory and confined space entry requirements, and have a valid Texas Class C Driver License.
