Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a AVP, Underwriting to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will shape underwriting strategy for a life insurance organization, with a focus on risk selection, process improvement, and strong alignment to enterprise goals. The AVP will partner closely with field leaders and producers to strengthen underwriting practices, improve agent experience, and support profitable growth. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines technical underwriting expertise with team development, external market credibility, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing underwriting team while advancing compliance, quality assurance, and innovative approaches to complex case decisions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $168,750 – $247,500 annually
