General Description:
The AVP Supply Chain Operations oversees the day-to-day logistics, distribution, and purchasing activities for OU Medicine Supply Chain. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating the supply, material flow, purchasing, and storage of inventory from suppliers to end users. This includes oversight of the Purchasing, Receiving, Courier, Warehousing, and Inventory Control teams, as well as on-site operations at each facility. The Administrative Director is responsible for continuous improvement and developing policies, procedures, and processes to ensure effective and efficient Supply Chain operations.

Provide leadership to ensure cost-effective supply chain activities that meet customer expectations. Demonstrate team leadership, conflict resolution, diversity management, and effective communication. Participate in hospital and medical center committees and represent OU Medicine externally as needed.
Participate in developing budgets, programs, policies, and plans. Partner with management to pursue cost reduction opportunities and deliver value maximization.
Ensure compliance with procurement and inventory management rules. Collaborate to improve procurement cycles and foster a culture of customer service. Implement performance metrics focusing on process improvement, automation, and service quality. Maintain relevant records and documentation.
Lead recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and development of staff. Implement organizational changes to integrate departments into a comprehensive supply chain function. Lead, motivate, and manage change within a diverse team.
Develop monitoring systems, establish metrics, and ensure accurate data dissemination through reports and database management.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field; MBA preferred.
Experience: 6+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ years in supply chain management or projects, preferably in a large hospital or multi-campus setting.
Certifications: Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) preferred.
Proven success in developing and implementing supply chain programs, using metrics for decision-making, and managing external vendors. Strong business understanding, stakeholder relationship skills, and effective communication. Ability to solve complex problems, think strategically, and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
