Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Rust/C++) to join the Equities Low-Latency Trading Tech team. You will design, develop, and optimize next-generation trading systems, migrating legacy C++ to Rust while maintaining ultra-low latencies and high reliability.

You will need deep computer architecture knowledge, OS, networking, and real-time performance tuning, working with traders and researchers to deliver production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in C++11/14/17/20 with modern templates.
• Proficient in Rust ownership, lifetimes, and safety features.
• Deep Linux internals and low-latency networking understanding.
• Experience with profiling and performance optimization tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build ultra-low-latency trading systems.
• Lead migration of C++ components to Rust while preserving performance.
• Develop testing, monitoring, and reliability for production systems.
