Job summary

Moody's Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs (GPRA) seeks an AVP to guide U.S. regulatory analysis, engage external stakeholders, and advance Moody's strategy in public policy.

You will lead analysts, translate regulatory texts into actionable insights, and collaborate across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and business lines. Based in the United States, the role focuses on credit rating industry policy, capital markets regulation, and geopolitical risk.

Qualifications

  • 5–9 years of experience analyzing U.S. public policy, regulatory, and legal developments within financial services contexts.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. government institutions, regulatory processes, and policymaking dynamics.
  • Prior experience at U.S. financial regulatory agency or government body preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills across functions and geographies.
  • Strong project management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI tools and responsible AI use.

Responsibilities

  • Guide analysts in tracking regulatory developments and prepare briefings and policy updates for Moody's businesses.
  • Present clear briefings and position papers to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assess regulatory implications and translate texts into actionable analysis.
  • Foster relationships with regulators, policymakers, and trade groups; attend external events.
  • Prepare briefing materials and talking points for meetings with officials and regulators.
  • Coordinate adoption of technology for stakeholder engagement tracking and metrics.
