Job summary

First Commerce Bank in Lakewood, NJ is seeking a Portfolio Manager II AVP to support rapid Commercial Banking growth. You will be assigned a commercial lender and portfolio to analyze, underwrite, and maintain, with loan sizes from $150MM to $300MM+ across CRE, C&I, Construction, and SBA.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and at least five years of experience, with strong credit, analytical, and communication skills to manage relationships and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics required.
• Formal credit training in CRE/C&I and Personal Cash Flow Analysis is preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of lending, banking regulations, and risk principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial customers.
• Maintain ongoing relationships to cross-sell services.
• Support reporting for portfolio management (delinquency, exceptions, tickler tracking).
• Coordinate and review financial statements and tax returns.
• Prepare modifications/renewals/extensions and credit files.
• Provide credit recommendations to credit administration.
• Assist with audits, loan review, and regulatory exams.
