Job summary

Premier PE Fund in NYC seeks an AVP/Senior Associate to join the Portfolio Analytics Team, collaborating with Portfolio Managers across finance, investment management, operations, technology, investor services, compliance/legal, and marketing. You will prepare fund-level performance and investor reports, build portfolio analytics, and develop data models using SQL, Excel, and market data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4+ years of Financial Services/Private Equity data/client reporting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Modeling.
• Technical knowledge, data analytics using CRMs (Salesforce), Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Outstanding communication skills, proven ability to effectively work with all levels of Management.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fund-level performance reports and investor reporting to reflect evolving needs of firms' clients.
• Review and analyze portfolio performance data, benchmark performance and risk statistics.
• Construct portfolio analytics tables, and perform fund finance metrics.
• Review and make necessary adjustments to client quarterly reports to ensure reports are sent out in a timely manner.
• Coordinate data feeds for various internal and external databases to ensure integrity and consistency of portfolio data across client reporting systems.
• Apply queries, pivot tables, filters and other tools to analyze data.
• Build financial models to perform portfolio exposure, risk and performance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the reporting platform by gathering field feedback and collaborating with partners.
• Maintain CRM database and provide reports to Directors.
• Design Data Model using SQL, Excel, FactSet, and Morningstar for Investment team.
• Provide ad hoc data research and analysis as needed.
