Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management and related fields.
  • Proven success shaping enterprise-scale platform strategy and influencing senior leaders.
  • Deep expertise in internal platform domains (data platforms, AI enablement, internal developer platforms, APIs, identity/access, governance).
  • Fluency with AI tools and advising teams on responsible AI-first product practices.
  • Ability to build high-performing platform product teams and create organizational alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Define multi-domain platform product strategy connecting internal capabilities, engineering priorities, AI Delivery, architecture direction, and enterprise product needs.
  • Identify high-leverage platform opportunities improving reuse, governance, developer productivity, and AI-assisted delivery quality.
  • Shape long-term roadmaps including migration strategy and AI-first operating model evolution.
  • Create strategic narratives and decision frameworks to prioritize platform investments.
  • Lead as a recognized expert in platform product management and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to evaluate platform tradeoffs, service ownership, and governance models.
  • Influence standards for reusable capabilities, platform adoption, and internal user experience.
  • Advise platform product leaders on strategy, discovery, stakeholder alignment, and AI-first delivery maturity.
  • Build product capability through coaching and reusable frameworks.
  • Lead a high-performing team of platform product managers.

In this role, you will shape enterprise platform direction across multiple internally facing capability areas. You will be accountable for platform strategy, team leadership, organizational capability development, investment prioritization, and delivery outcomes across internal platform capabilities supporting product, engineering, AI Delivery, and enterprise architecture initiatives.

Enterprise Platform Strategy
  • Define multi-domain platform product strategy that connects internal capabilities, engineering priorities, AI Delivery, architecture direction, AIDLC practices, and enterprise product needs.
  • Identify high-leverage platform opportunities that improve reuse, scalability, governance, developer productivity, AI-assisted delivery quality, and speed to value.
  • Shape long-term roadmaps for internal platform capabilities, including migration strategy, adoption pathways, investment sequencing, and AI-first operating model evolution.
  • Create strategic narratives and decision frameworks that help leaders prioritize platform investments.
Technical Product Thought Leadership
  • Serve as a recognized expert in platform product management, internal developer enablement, AI-enabled platform capabilities, data platforms, enterprise architecture-aligned product strategy, or AI-first software delivery models.
  • Partner with senior engineering and architecture leaders to evaluate platform tradeoffs, capability boundaries, service ownership, governance models, and agentic coding enablement.
  • Influence standards for reusable capabilities, platform adoption, measurement, internal user experience, responsible AI use, and high-leverage product artifacts that support AI-assisted build workflows.
  • Anticipate emerging needs related to AI delivery, data/knowledge platforms, automation, security, observability, responsible governance, and changing development practices.
Strategic Influence & Talent Multiplication
  • Advise platform product leaders on strategy, discovery, stakeholder alignment, executive communication, and AI-first product delivery maturity.
  • Lead the most ambiguous or cross-cutting platform initiatives without requiring large-team ownership.
  • Represent platform product strategy in executive and senior technical forums.
  • Build product capability through coaching, examples, reusable frameworks, prompt/context patterns, and high-quality product narratives.
Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of platform product managers.
  • Establish role clarity, operating models, performance expectations, and career development plans for platform product talent.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product management, platform product leadership, technical product management, enterprise architecture-aligned product strategy, data/AI products, developer platforms, AI-first software delivery, or enterprise technology leadership.
  • Proven success shaping enterprise-scale platform strategy and influencing senior technical and business leaders.
  • Deep expertise in one or more internal platform domains, such as data platforms, AI/ML enablement, internal developer platforms, APIs and integration, identity/access, knowledge graphs, cloud/platform architecture, governance, or agentic coding enablement.
  • Recognized fluency using AI tools and advising teams on responsible, effective AI-first product practices.
  • Builds and develops high-performing platform product teams.
  • Creates organizational alignment around platform strategy and execution.
  • Holds teams accountable for platform adoption, business outcomes, and delivery results.
  • Develops future platform product leaders and succession pipelines.
  • Balances strategic vision with operational execution.
Estimated Hiring Range

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
