AQUA Dermatology, the Southeast’s premier dermatology practice, seeks an Assistant Vice President of Operational Finance. This senior leader will drive FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy to support rapid growth across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in finance, strong GAAP expertise, and proven leadership of finance teams. This hybrid, full-time position offers growth opportunities and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, or operational finance experience.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial systems.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office apps.
• MBA, CPA, CMA preferred; healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A function and oversee operational finance activities.
• Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, forecasts and dashboards.
• Direct the annual budgeting process with operational leaders.
• Manage rolling forecasts and analyze performance to identify risks and opportunities.

We're looking for a driven Assistant Vice President of Operational Finance to help us strengthen financial performance, drive strategic decision-making, and support our continued growth. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, operational reporting, and financial strategy while partnering closely with executive and operational leaders across the organization.

What You’ll Do

Lead the company's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function and oversee operational finance activities.

Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards in accordance with GAAP.

Direct the annual budgeting process and collaborate with operational leaders to support strategic initiatives and organizational goals.

Manage rolling forecasts and analyze financial performance to identify opportunities and risks.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and operational excellence.

Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Conduct financial modeling, business analysis, and ad hoc reporting to support executive decision-making.

Analyze complex healthcare-related datasets and create meaningful reports that improve business performance and operational effectiveness.

Support mergers, acquisitions, and partnership evaluations through financial due diligence and analysis.

Identify process improvements and implement enhancements that increase departmental efficiency and effectiveness.

Support year-end audit activities and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required

10+ years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, or operational finance experience

Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications

Experience with Adaptive Planning is a plus

MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred

Healthcare industry experience preferred

Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and problem-solving skills
