About the role

As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Tax Management, you will be an integral team member focused on supporting the day-to-day tax-related operations and reporting of exchange-traded funds. This role involves partnering with clients and internal teams to ensure the success of ETFs in the market and overall business growth. What you'll do

1. Assist the VP of Tax Management in overseeing Tax Administration Services and contribute to the growth of the firm’s tax services and value-added offerings.
2. Partner with Fund Administration leadership and the VP of Tax Management to expand tax administration services.
3. Support analysis and calculation of dividend and capital gain distribution rates.
4. Prepare and review ROCSOP and necessary tax adjustments for shareholder reports.
5. Prepare, review, and coordinate the filing of income and excise tax returns.
6. Monitor book-to-tax differences.
7. Support quarterly Subchapter M compliance monitoring and reporting.
8. Provide tax re-allocation data for shareholder 1099 reporting.
9. Coordinate review of financial statement tax disclosures.
10. Prepare and review income and excise tax returns for auditors.
11. Review excise distribution calculations with auditors.
12. Lead on tax impact analysis for all security types within client ETFs.
13. Serve as the primary contact for clients on tax administration matters.
14. Participate in presentations to prospective clients regarding tax administration services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Four to six years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills demonstrated through previous roles.
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience with mutual fund industry tax laws and regulations.
• Specific experience with exchange-traded funds is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Adaptability to changing technological environments and experience with multiple fund accounting and reporting systems.

Work from home! Tidal is a fully remote organization. Employees residing near Tidal’s Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, and New York offices have the option to work in the office as their schedule allows.
