Angove Partners are working with an insurance firm based in Houston to recruit an experienced M&A Associate who will move into an M&A Underwriter role.

You'll assess and underwrite risks arising in M&A and corporate transactions, collaborating with brokers, clients and advisors to deliver tailored insurance solutions under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing and underwriting risks in M&A and corporate transactions.
• Ability to calculate policy costs and price premiums.
• Experience drafting and negotiating policy terms and coverage.
• Collaborate with brokers, tax lawyers, and clients on live deals.

About this role:

You'll assess and underwrite risks arising in M&A and corporate transactions, working closely with brokers, clients, and advisors to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

What will you be doing:

• Evaluate info about the client, using data to analyse the risk of the potential client, decide whether insurance should be offered based on that analysis.
• Calculate the cost of providing the policy and establish a price for the premium.
• Structure and price insurance policies
• Draft and negotiate policy terms and coverage
• Collaborate with brokers, tax lawyers, and clients on live deals
• Support the deal process under tight timelines
