Job summary

State Street in Boston is seeking a Network Security Operation Engineer to implement and maintain defenses for our network infrastructure. You will manage security policy, conduct audits, analyze security and network traffic, and enforce comprehensive network security procedures.

Responsibilities include firewall policy hygiene, policy remediation, audit response, and creating documentation. The ideal candidate has 5+ years with NGFW technologies (Fortinet/CheckPoint/Palo Alto), experience with

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with NGFW security technologies (Fortinet, CheckPoint, Palo Alto).
• Experience with security policy analyzer tools Algosec, Tufin and FireMon.
• Experience with host-based security technologies.
• Analytic skills for security policy and log analysis.
• Experience working with end users.
• Experience working on short and long term projects.
• Familiar with scripting.
• Experience with security policy and process audits.

Responsibilities

• Firewall policy hygiene management (rule recertification, cleanup, etc.).
• Identification and remediation of policies violating standards.
• Reporting of policy compliance with standards.
• Coordination of policy recertification.
• Review and approval of security change requests.
• Implementation of security change requests.
• Respond to audit requests, findings and remediation.
• Ability to work during off hours, weekends etc.
• Creating and updating documentation.
