Job summary

GIC, the global long-term investor, seeks an AVP, Legal Counsel to support the Technology Investment Group in New York, with potential relocation to San Francisco. You will identify key legal issues in investment transactions, liaise with top law firms, and manage contract drafting and closing.

The role requires a U.S. bar license and 3–5 years in venture capital law, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to balance business and legal objectives across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify key legal and reputational issues in transactions arising from investment activities.
• Liaise with top international and local law firms to deliver high-quality services cost-effectively.
• Review and manage transactions to close and draft and/or comment on contracts.
• Contribute to and promote teamwork within the LCD and Technology Investment Group.
