Base pay range
$143,000.00/yr - $153,000.00/yr
We’re looking for an AVP IT Governance to join our Information Technology team. As the AVP IT Governance,you will be responsible for leading and enhancing Corporate One’s IT governance framework. This role focuses on strengthening IT governance practices and overseeing the Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB), ensuring that architectural strategies align with the organization's long-term technology vision.
While candidates can be based in any state where we have a presence, we prefer individuals in the greater Columbus, Ohio, or Jacksonville, Florida, area where we have a physical office presence. Our work environment is primarily home/virtual with office onsite presence as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust IT governance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Take full ownership of the IT Governance framework, ensuring that it supports the organization's objectives and facilitates effective decision-making and resource allocation.
- Lead the Enterprise Architecture Review Board (EARB), managing its activities, setting agendas, and ensuring that architectural decisions support the strategic goals and are compliant with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the architecture supports both current and future business challenges.
- Oversees the evaluation and selection of IT standards, ensuring they are adopted and adhered to throughout the organization.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives within IT governance and enterprise architecture practices.
- Mentors and leads teams within the IT governance and architecture domains, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
- Prepares and presents reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on IT governance and architectural strategies.
- Manages relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure that the services provided meet the organization's governance and architecture standards.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in IT governance or enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, COBIT) is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT governance, with a strong background in developing and leading IT governance frameworks and enterprise architecture in a financial services environment.
- Proven experience in leading an enterprise architecture function or review board.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence senior management.
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
- Deep understanding of IT governance standards, compliance, and risk management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues in business terms.
