Job summary

Citi in Tampa, FL seeks an Gen AI Python Developer at the Assistant Vice President level to join the Technology team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backends for Generative AI applications, leveraging retrieval augmented generation and GenAI APIs such as OpenAI and Gemini.

Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver innovative features. The role requires strong coding, testing, security, and performance focus, with a hybrid schedule

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Hands-on GenAI experience and practical API usage (OpenAI, Gemini).
• Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) implementations.
• Proficiency in at least one Python web framework and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python code for GenAI apps.
• Integrate GenAI APIs and implement RAG to enhance model performance.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and other engineers to deliver solutions.
• Write tests, conduct code reviews, and ensure security and performance.
