Job summary

Sotheby’s seeks an AVP, Gantry Warehouse Operations to lead the Gantry site into a coordinated, end-to-end warehouse hub. You will drive priorities for receiving, storage, shuttle, cross-dock, packing and client collections while balancing space, labor and safety across departments.

A strong people leader is essential, with the ability to resolve issues and optimize property movement across the Breuer building and adjacent facilities.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years experience leading warehouse, cross-dock or other complex physical operations.
• Proven ability to manage supervisors, frontline teams and multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of warehouse flow, space utilization, staging, storage, labor deployment and safety.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operations while maintaining service levels in a high-volume environment.
• Cross-functional leadership across Logistics, Photography, Facilities, Security, Risk and Client Experience.
• Focus on property protection, employee safety, operating discipline and continuous improvement.
• Hands-on leadership with spend significant time on the floor engaging with teams.

Responsibilities

• Own Gantry day-to-day operation and overall condition, including property flow and labor deployment.
• Establish building-wide operating priorities and resolve congestion and space conflicts.
• Own space utilization, staging, storage allocation and capacity execution.
• Enforce standards for property handling, high-value and fragile items.
• Strengthen employee management through coaching, performance management and training.
• Coordinate property flow with Receiving, Central Planning & Logistics, Photography and other teams.
• Provide feedback and updates to support future planning and capital projects.
