Overview

This is a hybrid role with regular work inside and outside of a company office located in New York or New Jersey.

The AVP, Business Process Analyst, will serve as a business & operations subject matter expert (SME) for the Commercial Finance Division within FCB's Commercial Bank. The individual will be accountable for driving the implementation and execution of First Line of Defense Business (FLOD) processes, ensuring operational controls meet risk and regulatory obligations. They will support Commercial Finance teams with risk and control activities, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), issue & audit management, and compliance testing.

Responsibilities
  1. FLOD Risk Strategic Activities: Collaborate with the Sr. Business Process Risk Manager (BPRM) and Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) to implement risk management strategies, ensuring key risks are managed and aligned with business and strategic plans. Review risk program outputs for regulatory compliance.
  2. FLOD Risk Program Implementation: Support the implementation and maintenance of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures. Maintain knowledge of business operations, risks, controls, laws, and regulations. Participate in risk training and educate associates on risk topics. Ensure risks are identified, escalated, and mitigated timely. Coordinate with Compliance and 2LOD functions for alignment.
  3. FLOD Risk Governance & Reporting: Assist in preparing and coordinating risk governance meetings and forums. Support documentation, reporting, and follow-up activities. Help implement policies, standards, and procedures, and monitor Risk Limits incorporation into processes.
  4. Internal Assurance & Regulatory Engagement: Assist with preparations for external examinations and internal audits, providing necessary materials.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of risk management experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of risk management experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years operational, strategic, and reputational risk management at a financial institution.
  • Experience with Commercial Real Estate departments.
  • Identifying reputational, strategic, compliance, technology, and operational risks.
  • Assessing controls and recommending improvements.
  • Developing and presenting to senior leadership or committees.

Compensation & Benefits:
