Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation in Chicago is seeking an AVP – Treasury to drive liquidity, capital and balance sheet management reporting, forecasting and strategy. Reporting to the VP – Treasury, you will support and lead high-impact functions from daily liquidity optimization to executive-level reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting and 5+ years in treasury, ALM or FP&A, with strong analytical skills, proficiency in banking regulations and data-driven forecasting.

Position Summary

The Assistant Vice President – Treasury will play a critical role in executing liquidity, capital and balance sheet management reporting, forecasting & strategy. Reporting directly to the VP – Treasury, this individual will support and lead high impact functions ranging from daily liquidity optimization to complex balance sheet and executive committee reporting.

What You’ll Do
  • Liquidity & Cash Forecasting – assist in overseeing daily liquidity positioning and short-to-long-term cash forecasting
  • Collateral Optimization – Direct collateral management processes & frameworks to secure borrowing availability at various lending facilities (including and primarily focused on FRB/FHLB)
  • Stress Testing – Assist in maintaining and overseeing robust liquidity and capital stress testing frameworks & processes
  • Capital Oversight – Support comprehensive capital management, regulatory capital tracking and capital adequacy oversight
  • Financial Reporting – Deliver accurate, audit-ready Treasury financial reporting for internal management
  • Line of Business (LOB) Advisory – Act as a strategic partner to individual lines of business by supporting their localized reporting, budgeting and forecasting needs
  • ALCO & CMC Materials – Assist in the data aggregation, analysis and material production for the Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and Capital Management Committee (CMC)
Qualifications
  • Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree Required (Finance/Accounting focus preferred), Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, asset-liability management (ALM), financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or related corporate finance fields
  • Banking-Specific Analytical Proficiency – Advanced proficiency in bank financials analysis, balance sheet analytics, data-driven forecasting (experience with Workday, Office Connect, Bloomberg, Empyrean preferred), and working knowledge of banking regulations (experience with Category IV requirements a plus)
  • Detail-Oriented – Highly rigorous and detail-oriented approach to financial reporting, regulatory exams preparation, committee material production and data aggregation where accuracy is non-negotiable
  • Diligent Work Ethic – Self-driven professional with proven history of going above and beyond to ensure Team requirements and aspirations are met, with a focus on timely end-result fulfillment, always deploying robust internal time-management processes focusing on efficiency and effectiveness
  • Adaptable Professionalism – Adaptable professional who possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and thrives in fast-paced environments, often proactively anticipating shifts in liquidity, market risk and capital positioning

The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000-$110,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience. #LI-ONSITE
