We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

  • 6–10 years of experience in editorial strategy, content strategy, corporate communications, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record in a managing editor or equivalent enterprise content leadership capacity
  • Proven ability to step back from individual line-of-business messaging campaigns and identify opportunities for larger, cross-company storytelling with the potential to span multiple platforms and audiences
  • Strong creative and editorial judgment, with experience shaping story concept, tone, and narrative arc across long-form video, podcasts, written, social and other formats
  • Track record managing multiple internal and external partners with competing needs and timelines across concurrent content franchises, campaigns, and channels
  • Skilled at building and maintaining editorial calendars, production pipelines, and cross-functional workflows that keep multiple projects moving on schedule and on brand
  • Experience partnering with creative, video, design, and data/insights teams to translate research and expertise into audience-ready content

Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief, direct, and give constructive creative feedback to writers, producers, and designers

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

Serves as Moody's enterprise managing editor, setting editorial strategy and turning research and business-line storytelling into large-scale, cross-platform narratives.

  • Owns the managing editor function for Moody's enterprise editorial calendar, setting the content pipeline across all series, channels, and business lines and prioritizing initiatives with the greatest storytelling and business impact
  • Identifies which research, expertise, and corporate moments warrant large-scale, cross-platform treatment versus lighter, channel-specific coverage
  • Steps back from individual line-of-business requests to surface and build storytelling opportunities that connect multiple business units into a single enterprise narrative
  • Develops creative briefs in partnership with content and campaign leads, setting narrative direction, tone, and audience goals before production begins
  • Manages relationships with multiple internal partners and external creative vendors simultaneously, balancing competing needs, timelines, and priorities across concurrent franchises
  • Directs production planning and cross-functional coordination among writers, producers, designers, and data and insights partners to keep concurrent projects on track
  • Applies AI-enabled project, workflow, and agent tools to plan, template, and scale content production and derivative-asset creation
  • Partners with the Social Media and Communications Intelligence functions to ensure story selection and channel strategy remain insight-informed
  • Time allocation (approximate): Creative direction and storytelling strategy — 35%; Partner and stakeholder management — 35%; Process, project, and AI-workflow management — 30%

About the Team

Our Content Strategy & Communications Intelligence team is responsible for closing the loop between what Moody's puts out editorially and what audiences actually absorb — combining editorial strategy, multi-channel storytelling, and communications intelligence into a single, connected function. We turn Moody's research and expertise into stories that travel across platforms, translate audience and performance signals into content strategy, and give employees and external stakeholders a clear, coherent view of how Moody's shows up in the world. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work building enterprise-scale storytelling and AI-enabled content workflows across Corporate Affairs — partnering with editorial, creative, and data professionals to shape how one of the world's leading risk-intelligence firms is understood.
