Position Summary:

Transaction Banking Product and Digital Channels teams are comprised of professional Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Support representatives, and Project Managers who develop and support online banking products to serve our customers’ banking needs. This is an entry-level position for an ambitious candidate with 1-5 years’ Business Analyst experience who is pursuing a career in Transaction Banking Product Management and software development. The candidate will provide daily ownership of business-focused tasks while collaborating with internal teams in the delivery of global banking digital channel solutions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between Transaction Banking of the Americas and Head Office Transaction Banking Division, Tokyo, for specific matters such as system requirements, product development cycle, and testing of product enhancements and new solutions.
  • Manage the gathering and documentation of requirement specifications for future global digital banking products and enhancements.
  • Support online product deployment, including user acceptance testing and production validation (may occur outside of business hours).
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure testing environments are available and staged appropriately with clean data for software development and testing.
  • Provide support to Product Management including incident management, problem ticket triage, escalation, and resolution of client impact.
  • Assist Client onboarding and implementation teams with inquiries related to system configuration for customer setup and user maintenance.
  • Proactively communicate system issues and defects to ensure outstanding customer experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank's standards and regulatory policies, completing all requisite training.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English, with the ability to work flexible hours to coordinate with non-U.S. colleagues.
  • Experience in Transaction Banking, familiarity with online cash management, host-to-host connectivity protocols, ISO 20022 payments, and information reporting standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college, preferably in science, technology, engineering, or math.
  • Advanced degrees or MBAs are advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to understand and break down complex system and business requirements.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

The typical base pay range for this role is $100K - $115K, depending on experience and location. The role may be eligible for bonuses and other benefits, including health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, educational assistance, paid leave, and more.
