Job summary

Rutgers University Foundation seeks an Associate Vice President of Development and Alumni Engagement to lead fundraising and alumni relations at Rutgers University – Camden. The role partners with the Chancellor and Foundation leadership to advance philanthropic support and engagement across campus and with external donors.

The ideal candidate will oversee a major gifts program, supervise development staff, and work with cross‑functional teams to achieve strategic fundraising goals, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of professional fundraising experience.
• Experience in higher education fundraising and alumni relations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of development professionals and senior gift officers.
• Manage major gifts portfolio and solicit $1M+ gifts.
• Collaborate with university leadership and RU-C partners to advance fundraising priorities.
• Expand donor base and strengthen alumni engagement.
• Represent RU-C and the Rutgers University Foundation to external stakeholders.
